It’s official. It has been 1 year since I have been cleared from my reoccurring pneumothorax saga. Ever since having the issues, it has been really difficult to get back into the swing of staying fit. Thanks I had a good lot of residual pain for quite some time. It made me depressed and I found comfort in relaxing at home with Ben and Jerry.

Needless to say, comfort eating and no exercise, along with major stress from work, led me to gain quite a few LBs.
After multiple attempts to get back in shape, it was always a challenge with the pain and dealing with work. Work continues to be an issue because most times I do not get to eat lunch (or forget). This causes extreme stress, fatigue, and is not good for the metabolism.

After being so out of shape for so long…I decided enough was enough. I previously attempted the Christmas Abbott BBX Challenge and attending spin class, but I was always derailed on my progress. So, I decided to make sure to not get derailed this time…I signed up for my 3rd half marathon…and I made my family join me! After the year I had…my first thought was …

But thanks to a great support team, I am getting back on track. To start things off, I am performing the 30 day BBX Meltdown along with following the Badass Body Diet. I am really excited as I tried to follow this plan years ago (The Body Review) and was pretty successful. It’s not a diet persey…it’s a life style change. Face it…no one likes the word “diet” anyways…right?

So far, I am on Day 2 of the BBX Challenge and already feeling better. More energize and a bit sore. I will continue to work on all of the BBX programs as well as my half marathon training. Keep an eye out on my Instagram for post of workouts and recipe ideas.
